The Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reported that deputies collaborated with the United States Marshals to execute felony warrants for Joseph D. Craddock, a 40-year-old from Brookneal, Virginia. The arrest took place at a residence located in the 37000 block of Loves Mill Road.

Authorities said Craddock was wanted for multiple offenses, although specific charges were not detailed in the release.

During the operation, as officers entered the residence, Craddock attempted to evade capture by escaping through a window, according to the WCSO.

The sheriff’s office noted that K-9 Rybar successfully apprehended Craddock after he leaped over a fence, ensuring his arrest.
As of Friday, Craddock is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail without bond.
