2025 Emmys: When to tune in, how to watch, channel, host, nominations and more

Hollywood is once again gearing up to celebrate television royalty on Sunday at this year’s Emmy Awards.

As we approach the major event, everyone is focused on Apple TV+’s “Severance,” which secured six awards at last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys, along with “The Studio,” a comedy featuring Seth Rogen that already won nine Emmys.

But there are likely plenty of surprises in store for the show, which this year also honors 33 first-time performer nominees.

Here’s what else to know going into this year’s Emmy Awards show.

When are the Emmy Awards?

This year’s Emmy Awards will take place Sunday at Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Where can I watch the Emmys?

The show will be broadcast on CBS, and viewers can stream the live event online with a Paramount+ subscription.

When does the red carpet start?

Fashion fiends can watch the stars arrive on the red carpet from 6 p.m. ET.

Those who just want to catch the highlights can tune in starting at 7 p.m. ET on CBS, where Entertainment Tonight will host a red carpet preshow.

Who is hosting the Emmys?

Comedian Nate Bargatze will be this year’s Emmys host. He follows last year’s father-son host duo Eugene and Dan Levy.

Bargatze, whose fame skyrocketed after he hosted an episode of “Saturday Night Live” during its 49th season, is currently touring the U.S.

Who is nominated for Emmys this year?

The list of Emmy nominees this year includes: Apple TV+’s “Severance,” leading with 27 nominations; HBO’s “The Penguin,” with 24 nominations; and both HBO’s “The White Lotus” and Apple TV+’s “The Studio,” each with 23 nominations.

Who is predicted to win this year?

While the Emmys bring their fair share of surprises, early signs point to more shake-ups than usual this year.

Shows receiving their first nominations, such as “The Pitt” and “The Studio,” have the potential to earn recognition for a fresh group of stars, while regular Emmy contenders like “Hacks” and “The Bear” will face tough competition.
