CHICAGO (WGN) — A Dairy Queen-inspired love story has a sweet connection to Illinois.

Olivia Morris and Bradley Blizzard recently tied the knot, becoming Mr. and Mrs. Blizzard, thanks to a whimsical start on TikTok that blossomed into a collaboration with Dairy Queen.

The Texas Dairy Queen Operators’ Council contributed to making the couple’s sweet dreams a reality by organizing a DQ-themed photoshoot and gifting them personalized items to mark the special event.

Residing and getting married in Texas, Morris hails from Tuscola, Illinois, and is an alumna of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. The pair crossed paths on July 3, 2021, and as shared by Dairy Queen representatives, connected over their shared enthusiasm for the beloved chain.

Regarding her preference for Dairy Queen Blizzard, Olivia Morris says her favorite is the Oreo-flavored treat, while her husband, Bradley, prefers the Reese’s Peanut Butter Blizzard.

The first Dairy Queen restaurant opened in June of 1940 in Joliet.
