Israel conducted air strikes targeting Hamas leaders in Qatar. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he authorized these strikes following Hamas’s claim of responsibility for a terror attack at a bus stop in Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of six Israelis. While the White House disapproved of conducting strikes in Qatar, it acknowledged that the goal of eliminating Hamas was justified. Reporting from NBC News, Richard Engel provides further details.
