Jags lay out Hunter's expectations in scrimmage

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. () — The Jaguars concluded their seventh team practice as they get ready for tomorrow’s scrimmage, which will be open to fans.

Thursday was a short practice, as the team was only on the field for about an hour and a half.

Naturally, most eyes were focused on Travis Hunter. The current Heisman Trophy holder was wearing a white jersey, indicating he primarily practiced with the defense. However, he did participate in wide receiver drills during the time the media was permitted to film.

Offensive Coordinator Grant Udinski spoke with the media about the rookie’s offensive development and expectations in Friday’s scrimmage.

“What we’re looking for is ongoing improvement,” Udinski stated. “There isn’t a particular thing we expect to see immediately. We have ample time to continue developing and advancing. It’s really about furthering understanding of the game plan, honing technique, and building chemistry with [quarterback] Trevor [Lawrence] and the other team members.”

Hunter will take part in the team’s scrimmage tomorrow.
