ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Grammy-winning musician Chuck Mangione has passed away at 84 years old.
The prolific artist passed away in his sleep at his home in Rochester, New York, on Tuesday, according to the Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home.
Mangione grew up in Rochester, graduating from Benjamin Franklin High School and earning a bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music.
Mangione is widely recognized for his successful instrumental track “Feels So Good,” which is featured on his 1977 album titled the same. Throughout his career, he produced over 30 albums and received 14 Grammy nominations, securing two wins. Additionally, he appeared as himself on the animated sitcom “King of the Hill” in a recurring role.
Services for Mangione will be private, according to the funeral home.
