JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Saturday will mark one year since Hurricane Helene impacted communities across the region.

This week, News Channel 11 is conducting interviews with different county officials to talk about the effects of Helene on their communities and to assess the current situation one year after the event.

On Monday, Johnson County Mayor Larry Potter, along with Road Superintendent Jeff Wagner, talked about the progress of recovery initiatives in their region. You can watch the complete interview above.
