SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Following the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Monday, Feed the Hungry will host its 17th Annual MLK Community Dinner.
Attendees can enjoy not only a hearty meal but also avail themselves of onsite healthcare screenings. A screening of the documentary “Behold The Dream: Brother To The Dreamer: Rev. A. D. King” is scheduled, accompanied by live performances. The Alfred E. Beach High School and Groves High School marching bands will deliver a special guest performance, adding to the evening’s musical ambiance.
This year’s dinner celebrates the theme “Day of Service Renewed,” as announced by the organizers.
The public is invited to attend the free event, which kicks off at 2 p.m. in the Savannah Civic Center Ballroom.
In addition, Feed the Hungry will present its 17th Annual Drum Major Award at Savannah Technical College’s Eckburg Auditorium on January 30 at 6 p.m. The event will also feature the debut screening of “The Great Work.”
