TIMSC to host a dolphin evening with experts

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. () — The Tybee Island Marine Science Center (TIMSC) is hosting an evening with dolphin experts.

On Thursday, July 24, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., an event will focus on local dolphins. It will explore the experience of filming them in their natural habitat and discuss efforts to ensure their protection.

The event will feature a panel of multiple scientists and naturalists that have worked with and around dolphins.

  • Tara Cox, a marine science professor at Savannah State University.
  • Jennie Berglun, a National Geographic explorer and documentary filmmaker.
  • Capt. Rene Heidt, master naturalists and owner of Sundial Charter.
  • Alli Wiliford, the program director of TIMSC.

Attendees will be able to ask questions and enjoy a dolphin-themed evening.
