Krispy Kreme is bringing the magical world of “Harry Potter” to life with a new themed doughnut collection. From August 18, fans can visit participating Krispy Kreme locations across the country to indulge in five unique doughnut varieties inspired by the beloved series.

You might wonder why there are five doughnuts when there are only four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. The fifth doughnut pays tribute to the Sorting Hat, the series’ legendary hat responsible for assigning students to their respective houses in the fictional school.

Krispy Kreme’s “Harry Potter” doughnuts are:

  • Gryffindor Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with cookie butter flavored Kreme, dipped in red icing and Biscoff cookie crumble, topped with golden icing drizzles and the Gryffindor crest

  • Slytherin Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut topped with chocolate and green buttercreme flavored swirls, chocolate cookie sugar blend, and the Slytherin crest

  • Hufflepuff Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with brown butter toffee flavored custard, dipped in golden yellow icing, and topped with black chocolate drizzle, cookie crunch, and the Hufflepuff crest

  • Ravenclaw Doughnut – an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in blueberry flavored icing, topped with the Ravenclaw sprinkles and crest

  • Sorting Hat Doughnut – a filled doughnut, with a mystery-colored Kreme representing one of the four Hogwarts Houses, then dipped in chocolate-flavored icing, sprinkled with shimmering gold stars and gold sugar, and topped with the Sorting Hat piece

“We’re channeling the beloved magic of Harry Potter and the Houses of Hogwarts for a collection that is truly bewitching,” said Alison Holder, Chief Brand and Product Officer for Krispy Kreme. “But the magic is fleeting, and so are these doughnuts, so don’t miss your chance to try them!”

In addition to the doughnuts, Krispy Kreme introduced the Golden Snitch Latte, a caramel toffee-inspired beverage topped with whipped cream, Biscoff cookie crumble, and a touch of golden shimmer sugar.

The new doughnuts and latte will be available for a limited time.

Fans can find a special six-count assortment of these doughnuts at major retailers like Walmart, Kroger, and Publix. Starting August 23, anyone stopping by a participating Krispy Kreme shop in their Hogwarts house attire can enjoy a complimentary Original Glazed doughnut.

If you’ve forgotten, here are the Hogwarts House colors: Gryffindor is red and gold, Slytherin is green and silver, Hufflepuff is yellow and black, and Ravenclaw is blue and bronze. If you’re curious to find out which house you belong to, consider taking the Sorting Ceremony quiz here.
