HINESVILLE, Ga. () — The Liberty County Football team is enjoying a remarkable 5-1 start to their 2025 season, marking their best performance since 2019.

The Panthers kicked off the season with a narrow 21-20 victory against their rivals, Bradwell Institute, to claim the Commissioner’s Cup.

A few matches later, they triumphed over a strong Long County team, winning 40-34 in a thrilling overtime contest.

Just last Friday, they restricted a dynamic Southeast Bulloch team to a single touchdown and secured a hard-fought 10-7 win.

Coach Tony Glazer credits their strong start to consistently clinching victory in close matchups.

“In the fourth quarter I feel like our guys have a lot more gas,” he said. “We’re able to wear our opponents down in the fourth quarter.”

“I feel like this team this year has heart,” said senior running back Elijah Brown. “When we play with our heart we’re a really hard team to beat.”

Liberty County’s next game will be at home against Johnson on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
