ST. CLOUD, Fla. – In terms of community involvement, the St. Cloud Police Department continues to set high standards and today, they’re trading their badges for water blasters.

During the peak of summer, while many seek shelter from the heat, the St. Cloud police are getting involved in something refreshingly fun. In an effort to foster strong, positive bonds with the youth in their area, officers are engaging in an all-out water gun fight with local kids attending a summer camp. Yes, it’s full uniforms, patrol cars, and super soakers all around.

This friendly showdown is more than just a way to beat the heat; it’s an innovative approach to closing the gap between law enforcement and the new generation. These instances reflect the community-centered spirit of St. Cloud’s finest.

Expect no mercy on the battlefield today. These officers will be rolling in fully loaded, but waiting for them is a squad of determined campers, ready to defend their turf with splash power of their own.

Join us at 10 a.m. for a behind-the-scenes look at the pre-battle pep talk and the drive into action.

It’s Friday. It’s hot. And this is one summer showdown you don’t want to miss.
