LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – People living in a neighborhood in Los Angeles are expressing their growing frustration due to a man’s incessant blasting of home alarms and train horns from his residence daily.

Residents on the 6600 block of Peach Street report that the bothersome noise has persisted for months, with the perpetrator, Gary Boyadzhyan, showing no intention of ceasing his actions.

“He does this several times a day,” explained Bob Donovan, one of the neighbors. “The noise stops only when the air powering it depletes, as it’s an air-operated system. He then reactivates it. It can be heard from 3.5 miles away—it’s an authentic train horn.”

Boyadzhyan says he has an ongoing dispute with the LAPD’s Van Nuys division over personal matters, and he uses the loud noise as a method to catch the department’s attention.

“I genuinely apologize to my neighbors,” Boyadzhyan expressed to Nexstar’s KTLA. “I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused in your homes, but I feel at a loss for alternatives.”

He wouldn’t explain what the nature of his personal grievance was, only saying that he needed help and that he wanted “justice to be served.”

Neighbors constantly report the loud noises to the police and the horns will eventually turn off when officers show up.

The residents feel powerless, and many struggle to sympathize with Boyadzhyan, given the constant disruption they endure daily.

“I mean, I hear what he’s saying, he needs help, but what kind of help does he need?” a neighbor said in frustration.

Many neighbors were upset that, despite constant calls to the Los Angeles Police Department, the disturbance showed no signs of stopping.

They said Boyadzhyan reportedly turns off the horns before officers arrive. LAPD said that, to issue a citation, they would need to witness the horns and alarms blaring when they arrive, but that had not happened.

“They were out here this morning,” another neighbor said. “Three cop cars showed up. They were here for about half an hour, talking to him and then they hopped in their cars and drove away.”

On Wednesday night, LAPD confirmed that Boyadzhyan was arrested and taken to the Van Nuys Station for booking. Details on the potential charges he is facing were not provided.
