Numerous sites, services experience outages amid apparent widespread issue

(NEXSTAR) — A variety of websites and online services, such as Google services, Spotify, DoorDash, and others, are reportedly facing outages on Thursday afternoon due to what seems to be a widespread disruption.

Outage tracker DownDetector shows dozens of sites and services are seeing increased rates of user-reported issues.

More than 40,000 such reports have been filed for Spotify, for example. There, users say they’re unable to load or use the app.

For Discord, more than 12,000 users have reported issues sending messages or experiencing a server connection error.

Thousands of users have reported issues accessing or using Google resources, including its website, Cloud, Meet, Nest, Drive, and Gmail. Despite these reports, the company’s Workspace and Search status dashboards do not indicate any incidents as of Thursday afternoon.

The Google Cloud status site, however, shows worldwide incidents have been reported. That includes the Google Cloud Console, Dataproc, and Storage.
