Mark Sanchez seen bloody, wounded in surveillance video after stabbing

() Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was seen bloody and wounded in new surveillance video obtained by TMZ.

Sanchez received a felony charge for allegedly attacking a 69-year-old truck driver in downtown Indianapolis last weekend.

As per the chief prosecutor, the incident was recorded by several surveillance cameras. In footage released by TMZ, Sanchez appears visibly impacted, possibly due to intoxication, which aligns with one of the charges against him.

Sanchez, who is a former NFL quarterback, is accused of assaulting Perry Tole, 69. Tole informed the police that Sanchez seemed intoxicated and attempted to enter his truck. When Sanchez did not retreat, Tole used pepper spray on him and then stabbed him, claiming self-defense. Both parties were subsequently hospitalized.

The ex-New York Jets quarterback is visible on surveillance footage at 12:05 a.m. on October 4. Throughout the 25-minute video, he is observed walking erratically, occasionally stumbling around.

Although there is no direct footage of the alleged assault, Sanchez is seen engaging with a man after briefly leaning against a wall before heading back into an alley where Tole’s truck was parked.

Sanchez starts to jog in the alley but pauses by a dumpster, then resumes jogging towards Tole’s truck. The vehicle is out of the camera’s view, leaving the subsequent events unclear. Law enforcement states that between 12:25 a.m. and 12:30 a.m., Sanchez allegedly dragged Tole from his truck and a fight ensued.

At 12:30 a.m., Sanchez is spotted exiting the alley and turning onto the sidewalk, with blood visible on his shirt. Holding his hand to his chest, he seems to be struggling physically. Seven minutes later, Indianapolis police and firefighters arrived, sealing off the area. Tole was taken away on a gurney at 12:47 a.m., and Sanchez was also transported to a hospital.

“He is out of his head, there is just no question,” TMZ founder Harvey Levin told “Banfield.”

“When you watch this, he is wandering aimlessly after midnight. He goes back and forth in areas. He runs at times, but there’s one point, actually, where he leans against a wall, and he seems to fall asleep for two minutes,” he said.

Levin could not confirm what state of mind Sanchez was in, whether it was alcohol-induced or otherwise, “but it was something.”

Sanchez was hit with a civil lawsuit Monday after he was criminally charged with one count of felony battery resulting in a serious, violent injury. The driver suffered a “severe laceration to the side of his face, penetrating all the way through his left cheek,” per court documents.

The former Southern California quarterback was a high-profile NFL analyst for Fox Sports. Despite the possibility of jail, Levin does not believe a guilty verdict would put a definite end to his media career.

“As clear as it seems in the moment, it’s just not the way it ends up in reality, so I don’t know,” he told .
