MATTOON, Ill. (WCIA) — A fresh chapter is set to begin for Mattoon’s movie enthusiasts, as officials have announced the reopening of the town’s theater, previously closed by AMC, under new management.

On Monday, VIP Cinemas revealed its plans to revive the 10-screen theater by the end of the year. The company promises an enhanced experience with an expanded menu, more competitive pricing, and extended operating hours.
