Following President Trump’s announcement of deploying federal law enforcement and the National Guard to Memphis, Tennessee, with the intent to reduce crime, Mayor Paul Young expressed his dissatisfaction with this plan. Speaking to CNN, Mayor Young conveyed that he is “certainly not happy” about the proposed deployment and instead advocates for alternative investments to effectively address the issue of crime in the city.
