MILLIGAN, Tenn. (WJHL) — Milligan University students and staff celebrated the school’s annual “Wonderful Wednesday” tradition.
Every year, the university chooses a day to cancel classes and hold outdoor activities for students and staff.
“We start the morning off by letting people sleep,” Ashley Roberts, a senior at Milligan University, said. “Then we have a campus-wide brunch, a faculty and staff scavenger hunt with some prizes, a dodgeball tournament, inflatables, and [some] food trucks. We conclude the day with a volleyball tournament, a bonfire, [and a] great dinner.”
This year’s theme was “The Wonderful Wednesday of Oz.”
“It’s really fun,” Roberts said. “Just a day, the stress of school is just kind of melted away, and it really feels like the campus comes together.”
