MINOT, ND (KXNET) — An active member of the Air Force, who’s stationed at the Minot Air Force Base, is facing four charges involving child sex crimes.
35-year-old Cory Mulrain is currently facing three charges of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Minor and one count of Gross Sexual Imposition.
According to an affidavit obtained by KX, Homeland Security Investigations Minot/Bismarck was contacted by Homeland Security Investigations Boston, after they’d been alerted to someone using a darknet site, known for streaming child sexual abuse material.
On March 25th, North Dakota BCI showed up at Mulrain’s home on the Minot Air Force Base and served a search warrant for his electronic devices.
While investigators were interviewing Mulrain on scene, he admitted to them that he recorded a child under the age of 14 in the bathroom and a bedroom. Investigators then interviewed the child, who said Mulrain touched them while they were pretending to be asleep.
He is currently in custody with a bond order of $150,000. His next day in court will be on May 1st.
