MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — The Morton County Commission has voted unanimously to team up with the North Dakota Cares Coalition to better support service members, veterans, families, and survivors throughout the region.
Nicole Frohlich, Military Outreach Specialist with the North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs, appeared before the commission to request the vote.
The ND Cares Coalition is a statewide network that aims to improve people’s access to behavioral health services, strengthen partnerships within the community, and build resilience among those connected to the military in North Dakota.
“We’re proud to stand alongside ND Cares in making sure our service members and veterans feel supported, not just by words, but by meaningful action,” said Morton County Commission Chair Nathan Boehm. “This partnership represents Morton County’s ongoing dedication to those who serve and have served, and to their families who also carry that burden and sacrifice.”
ND Cares and Morton County will soon announce an official event to kick off their partnership.
