MTV's Iconic Series 'Ridiculousness' Concludes After 14 Years and 46 Seasons

In a significant move, MTV has decided to conclude its enduring and widely recognized series, “Ridiculousness.” According to sources close to the network, confirmation of the show’s end was provided to KTLA on Friday morning.

Although no new episodes of the show will be produced following the Halloween cutoff, fans of the 14-year-old series can still expect to see previously produced first-run episodes airing on MTV, concluding the show’s presence through the 2026 season.

“Ridiculousness,” which made its debut on August 29, 2011, has entertained audiences over an impressive 46 seasons. The show, known for its comedic take on internet videos, features host Rob Dyrdek alongside his co-hosts and guests as they critique amusing and outrageous clips.

The decision to end “Ridiculousness” was first reported by TMZ on Friday morning. The report cited that the cancellation resulted from a strategic decision by the network’s top executives, who conveyed the news to the show’s cast and crew earlier this week.

In a bid to reimagine its future, MTV is focusing on introducing more experimental content. The network aims to embrace new formats and diverse creative voices, signaling a shift toward refreshed programming that aligns with evolving viewer demands.

Previous seasons of all produced episodes are said to continue airing on MTV, and select seasons will continue to stream on Paramount+.
