(WHTM) — Over 55,000 hairdryers sold under the “Remington” label have been recalled due to potential risks of electrocution and shock, posing threats of injury or fatality.
These hair dryers were identified as not having an immersion protection device, which is essential to prevent electrocution if they accidentally fall into water while in use, according to the recall notice.
While no injuries have been reported, you should immediately stop using the hair dryers and unplug them completely.

The hair dryers can be identified by:
- Model number D3190DCDN
- Color is purple with black accents
- Three black operating buttons located on the handle
- “Remington” written in white on the side of the dryer head
The hair dryers in question were sold only online through Walmart Marketplace, Target Marketplace, and Amazon between March 2024 and June 2025, with prices ranging from $25 to $32.
Consumers can reach out to Empower Brands, the importer of these hair dryers, to obtain a full refund. You can contact Empower Brands at 1-844-695-2134, via email at HairdryerRecall@Spectrumbrands.com, or by visiting the Remington product recalls page online.
