ATLANTA, Ga. (WSAV) – A Georgia nonprofit was in action over Labor Day weekend, aiming to shine a light on a significant issue: human sex trafficking.

Known as “MOST,” which stands for Men Opposing Sex Trafficking, the group kicked off a kickball game on Friday, Aug. 29, at 8 a.m. in Fairburn, Ga. They kept the game going until they achieved a Guinness World Record for the “longest marathon playing kickball,” playing continuously for 52 hours and raising over $200,000.

This event was not a first for “MOST,” which had previously set world records for the longest softball and basketball games. However, this kickball game marked their debut attempt as a co-ed team, with 13 women joining 27 men on the field.

Bruce Deel, the CEO and founder of MOST, explains that breaking world records helps capture public attention, making their message more accessible to a wider audience.

“Our ultimate goal is to raise awareness about the problem of sex trafficking and equip everyday people with the tools they need to combat it. Over the past year, our reputation for tackling these challenging physical events has increased interest and allowed us to raise over $800,000 to further our primary mission.”

Following their successes with the longest marathon softball game last September and the longest continuous basketball game in March, both spanning 121 hours, Men Opposing Sex Trafficking (MOST) aimed to make history again with a 51-hour marathon kickball game held at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn, Georgia.

The 40 kickball players volunteered their time to support the nonprofit and its mission.

To be certified by the Guinness Book of World Records, the game could be played with a maximum of 26 players on each team. Ten defenders had to be on the field at all times. MOST had 20 players on each squad with the teams playing in short shifts throughout the day, then alternating longer shifts overnight to allow for sleeping.
