Authorities search for missing woman after North Augusta vehicle crash

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. () – Susan Rhodes, who disappeared from North Augusta last month, has been found, as confirmed by the North Augusta Department of Public Safety on Tuesday.

The department reported that they were notified around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 5 about Rhodes’ return home. Officers promptly arrived at her residence and verified her presence there.

Shortly thereafter, Rhodes experienced an unidentified medical issue. Emergency Medical Services were dispatched, and she was taken to a nearby hospital for assessment.

In a statement posted to Facebook on Aug. 5, officials said thanked everyone who had been involved in the search.

“Your support and vigilance played a vital role in helping bring this situation to a safe conclusion,” the statement reads in part.

Rhodes had been reported missing following a car accident on June 11, sparking an extensive search throughout the region. The police noted that their investigation remains active.
