HILTON HEAD ISLAND, Ga. () — A vacation in a Hilton Head villa ended in a stabbing and subsequent arrest Tuesday morning.

At around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies responded to reports of a stabbing at a villa on Folly Field Road.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 25-year-old man with a stab wound, while a female suspect from Spruce Pine, North Carolina, stayed at the scene, along with several witnesses.

The suspect, Kyra Honeycut, 19, is accused of stabbing the victim following an argument inside the residence that turned into a physical fight. Reports indicate that Honeycut grabbed a knife during the altercation and stabbed him.

The victim was later transported by Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue for medical care. Honeycut was charged with attempted murder and is currently held at a detention center.
