OCOEE, Fla. – The Ocoee police department plans to disclose further information about a recent officer-involved shooting and an unresolved cold case on Thursday morning.
In a release, police said that Chief Vincent Ogburn will provide a statement following the officer-involved shooting that happened on Sunday.
“During the briefing, security footage obtained from a nearby establishment will be presented to enhance public understanding and ensure transparency,” the release states.
In addition, investigators said they will announce a “significant development” in the cold case involving the identification of human remains.
“Details surrounding the investigation and identification process will be shared,” the release continues.
The news conference is slated to kick off at 9:30 a.m. at the police department headquarters.
