Crime Stoppers seeking tips on July burglary in Ogden

OGDEN, Ill. (WCIA) — Champaign County Crime Stoppers is seeking help from the public in finding the people responsible for a burglary in Ogden.

The incident took place at Rich’s Restaurant on the morning of July 24. Two individuals broke into the establishment and attempted unsuccessfully to open the gaming machines. Instead, they took money from the cash register and made their escape.

The restaurant’s security cameras captured the event and the individuals involved, with Crime Stoppers releasing still images. The suspects were described as wearing certain clothing:

  • A black hat, tan face covering, brown long-sleeve shirt, black sweatpants with white lettering and black shoes
  • A black stocking cap, black face mask with white lettering, black long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.

All tips to Crime Stoppers are both anonymous and eligible for a cash reward if the tip leads to an arrest.
