Ohio woman set on fire in dispute with neighbor: Police

CLEVELAND (WJW) A woman is recovering from her injuries in the hospital following an early morning assault Thursday on the west side of Cleveland, authorities said.

The Cleveland Police Second District was called to a local home just before 12:30 a.m. for reports of an altercation.

Upon arrival, police said they found a woman who had been burned on multiple parts of her body and that she was taken to the hospital.

The burn victim reportedly told police she was involved in an argument with a neighbor regarding their properties.

According to police, the neighbor “is believed to have called approximately three juveniles to the residence to confront the victim.” One of the juveniles is believed to have set the woman on fire during an assault.

Police did not identify the victim, other than to say she is 38 years old.

At this time, no one is in custody, but the investigation involves aggravated burglary, aggravated arson, and felonious assault, according to police.
