Bar altercation leads to 1 person shot in Glynn County

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () — A man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges after a shooting on Baybridge Drive.

At around 2:32 a.m. on Sunday, the Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) responded to reports of a shooting occurring at a residence on Baybridge Drive.

While officers investigated, they received reports from the Southeast Georgia Health System of a male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Witnesses gave statements indicating that the suspect had fled the scene after the incident and was identified as James Rhodes, 22, from Missouri.

Investigators discovered that the shooting resulted from a dispute at a bar involving two coworkers from out of state. Rhodes was found at a local restaurant and subsequently taken into custody.

He faced charges including aggravated assault, reckless conduct, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and tampering with evidence.
