One injured, lane closed in I-57 rollover crash in Douglas Co.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois State Police is currently on scene at a rollover crash on Interstate 57 just north of Tuscola.

At around 3:50 p.m., State Police Troop 7 was dispatched to I-57 southbound at milepost 213 in Douglas County due to a single vehicle rollover traffic accident. Details about the minor injuries reported are still unclear.

By 4:24 p.m., State Police confirmed that Troop 7, along with local EMS and law enforcement, were present at the scene. The crash has resulted in the closure of the right lane, causing traffic to slowly move through using the left lane.

State Police are urging motorists to reduce speed and stay vigilant for slow or halted vehicles near the accident site. An update will be issued once the crash area has been cleared.
