() Professional stock car racing driver Parker Kligerman told the upcoming NASCAR Chicago Street Race will, once again, be one of the “coolest events ever.”

For the third straight year, NASCAR racing will take over the area in and around Chicago’s Grant Park for the July Fourth weekend.

Kligerman, who will help call the race, said the Chicago circuit is “unbelievable” to drive.

“It’s probably one of the best street courses in the world, you know, up there with Monaco and Long Beach and that sort of thing,” he told ” Live” on Thursday.

But the Chicago race has a uniquely varied track with some straightaways allowing drivers to hit 160 mph, and other sections so tight that only one car can fit through at 70 mph, Kligerman said.

“Now, that might sound fast for the streets that we’re on, like Michigan Avenue, but in a race car, that’s not that fast,” he added. “So yeah, it’s just a really elbows-out, full-contact affair.”

Catch all the action from the Windy City as the NASCAR Chicago Street Race kicks off at 4:30 EDT, exclusively on CW stations.
