() President Donald Trump has completed the first extended foreign trip of his second term. The four-day trip, which took the president to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, resulted in multiple defense and investment deals.
The White House on Friday estimated the trip’s deals totaled more than $2 trillion for the United States.
Trump also made policy announcements during the trip, including a decision to lift sanctions against Syria to give the country “a chance for greatness.”
As he departed from the region on Air Force One, Trump said the trip was a “fantastic moment for our country,” adding that he “really believes everyone’s talking about it.”
