OCALA, Fla. – A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with another vehicle early Saturday morning, according to Ocala police.

Police said the crash happened at the intersection of SW 17 St/SW 20 Court and State Road 200 around 2 a.m.

As reported by Ocapa police, a BMW motorcycle was heading south on SW 20 Court as it neared S.R. 200. Concurrently, a Volkswagen Sedan was moving east on S.R. 200, nearing the intersection with SW 20 Court and SW 17 S.

Authorities stated that as the vehicles entered the intersection, the Volkswagen struck the side of the motorcycle. The investigation to determine who had the right-of-way is ongoing.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and later pronounced, according to police.

    No other injuries were reported.

    The crash remains under investigation.
