WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) Kansas authorities are requesting assistance in finding a woman believed to have been forcibly taken, and they have released surveillance video of the potential incident.
The woman was taken early Sunday morning, about 2 a.m. local time, according to the Wichita Police Department.
As of 4:30 p.m. Monday, police said they haven’t been able to identify the man or woman in the video.
“We’ve worked diligently on this case all day, tracking numerous leads, and we truly value the community’s support,” posted WPD on Facebook. “Exploring every avenue, we have enlisted the aid of our regional and federal law enforcement associates for further support.”
Detectives have made the video available to the public, minimizing background noise to help anyone who might recognize the woman’s voice, as she is audibly screaming.
The police urge anyone who identifies the man or the woman to call 911. Additionally, tips can be directed to WPD detectives at 316-268-4407.
