The authorities issued a statement indicating that Hays Drive was closed off between Country Club Drive and Anderson Circle while they investigated the possible sinkhole.

“The roadway will be reopened once it is deemed safe,” the statement announced. “In the meantime, we advise using alternative routes and steering clear of the area if you can.”

At this moment, no further details have been disclosed.
