KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — On Sunday night, nearly 1,000 residences and businesses experienced power outages, as reported by Appalachian Power Company.

The company’s outage map indicates that power restoration is anticipated by Monday at 2:30 a.m.

According to the map, 892 customers are affected by the outage, although the cause remains unspecified.

The power interruption was initially reported at 8:08 p.m.
