ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – On Tuesday, Orange County Utilities announced a precautionary boil water advisory due to a water main break in the vicinity of County Road 535, South Apopka Vineland Road, Winter Garden Vineland Road, and Palm Parkway.

Although there is no proof of contamination, authorities advise that residents boil all water intended for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes for at least one minute prior to use.

Along with the notice, Orange County also released a map of the affected area.

The water main break has resulted in the closure of at least two southbound lanes on County Road 535 near Apopka Vineland Road. Repair teams are currently addressing the problem.

Once repairs are complete, the water will undergo at least two days of testing to ensure safety. An update on the boil water advisory status will be provided on Thursday.

Residents can call the Boil Water Hotline at 407-254-9670 for the latest information. Orange County Utilities customers may also call 407-836-2777 to check the advisory status for a specific address.

Note: This map depicts the general area of water main break and not necessarily an exact location.
