Psi Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Marks a Century of Service

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Psi Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., established on August 9, 1925, marked their community service and accomplishments with a celebratory gala at the Convention Center. Dee Griffin of was the event’s host, and Grand Basileus Ricky Lewis shared with the importance of this milestone.

Ricky Lewis, Grand Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. told , “The charter members, right? The nine brothers who thought about having a chapter 100 years ago, they laid the foundation. So, we knew what we had to do to build upon that.”

The Psi Omega Chapter has heavily contributed to the success of the Augusta-Richmond County area with countless members past and presents who have paved the way for the chapter’s success. Lewis also said, “Over the 25 years, 50 years, 75 years, now 100 years, and now it’s our job to lay the foundation for the next 100 years. Of course, none of us will be here but somebody’s going to be celebrating 200 years of this outstanding chapter. So as Grand Basileus on behalf of 200,000 initiated men from around the world, I thought it was important for me to come and pay my respects to these brothers and again congratulate them on 100 years of service.”
