(WJW) — Salad kits available in 25 states, including Florida, are being recalled due to an undeclared allergen. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned that consumption by individuals allergic or highly sensitive to sesame or soy could result in serious or life-threatening reactions.

The recall alert states that the affected Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kits mistakenly contain Asian Sesame Ginger dressing rather than the intended Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing, which could lead to undeclared allergens from sesame and soy.

Taylor Farms products are sold at major retailers in Ohio, such as Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods, according to the company’s website. Although it is unclear whether the specific recalled items were available in these Ohio locations, Walmart.com does confirm the presence of recalled items in some of their stores.

The salad kits under recall bear code dates starting with “TFRS” and have a “Best If Used By” date up to and including Sept. 4, 2025. The product code can be found in the top right corner of the packaging.

Consumers who have the recalled salad kits are encouraged to immediately discard the product.
