Lil Nas X found wandering LA street in just underwear: Report

Rapper Lil Nas X was spotted roaming Ventura Boulevard in Studio City early Thursday morning wearing just white underwear and matching cowboy boots.

Video provided by TMZ captures a driver encountering the “Old Town Road” singer walking down the middle of the street at about 4 a.m. The singer tells the driver, “Don’t be late to the party,” as he continues to walk and sings a tune to himself.

When asked about the party, he responds, “You know where it’s at.” He then gestures for the driver to “go ahead, babe” and drive away. He repeats this before the video skips to him telling the driver, “Didn’t I tell you to put the phone down?”

“Uh oh, somebody’s going to have to pay for that,” Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, said.

The footage depicts him singing further while strolling along the empty street. At one stage, he turns back and references the supposed party again.

Throughout the nearly two-minute video, he is seen strutting down the road, pausing for some dance moves, regularly mentioning the “party,” and advising the driver to put the phone down and leave him be.

Photos show him putting an orange traffic cone on his head.

The Los Angeles Police Department informed KTLA 5 that they responded to the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard at 5:50 a.m. following reports of a naked man in the street. It remains uncertain if the man was entirely unclothed, as the responding officers did not specify his attire or lack thereof.

When officers arrived, they say the male charged at them and was taken into custody.

Police say the suspect was transported to a nearby hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for battery on a police officer.

The suspect was not identified and no further suspect description was given.

KTLA 5 has reached out to Lil Nas X’s team and is awaiting a response.
