Spring is in the air — and Publix is getting in the spirit of the season with an upcoming tasting event for customers.

The Florida-native grocery chain announced that the event will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“These Publix items are the perfect addition to your spring hangout,” the company stated. “Take a ‘peep’ at what you can try.”

Those items are as follows:

• Bakery Section — Carrot Torte Cake

• Deli Section — Jeweled Brie Platter

• Grocery Section — Southern Banana Pudding Ice Cream

• Meat Section — Maple Bourbon Spiral-Sliced Ham

• Produce Section — Whole Pineapple

In addition, Publix provided a selection of its “fantastic spring recipes that’ll make you hop for joy.”

The recipe offerings include Chickie Deviled Eggs, Chicken Caesar Sliders and Chocolate Carrot Patch Cupcakes.

“If cooking isn’t up your alley, we’ve got you covered!” Publix officials added. “Our finger foods are popular party favorites. They’re perfect for watching sports playoffs or mingling with party guests. Publix offers a variety of easy-to-serve appetizers — like chips and deli dips, sandwich sliders and our famous chicken tenders — or delicious desserts like cupcakes and cookies.”
