SANFORD, Fla. – Authorities in Sanford are reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying an individual captured on surveillance video behaving suspiciously near a local home.

In the early hours of December 23, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a security camera recorded someone attempting to peer into a residence located close to the intersection of Laurel Avenue and 12th Street.

“The footage reveals the suspect peering through the home’s front windows and illegally entering the enclosed backyard. The individual tried to hide their identity using a green blanket emblazoned with a duck logo,” the police noted in a social media update.

The homeowner reported that similar occurrences have taken place multiple times over the past month, suggesting the same person is responsible each time, according to law enforcement.

“Given the details available, this incident is being treated as a potential Peeping Tom case,” the post elaborates.

Officials are encouraging anyone who has encountered a similar situation or possesses pertinent surveillance footage to reach out to the Sanford Police Department.
