SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Two Sangamon County entities are teaming up to offer a convenient passport registration day this weekend.

Warren-Boynton State Bank, in collaboration with Sangamon County Circuit Clerk Joe Roesch’s office, will facilitate passport application processing from 9 a.m. to noon on May 17. The session will be held at Warren-Boynton State Bank, situated at 702 W. Illinois St. in New Berlin.

The bank said that this service helps to provide an easy way to obtain an important travel document.

“Warren-Boynton State Bank values the circuit clerk’s office’s initiative to enhance the convenience of passport registration for our community and bank clients,” stated James Weast, president and CEO of Warren-Boynton State Bank. “We are delighted to support this community outreach endeavor.”

Roesch encouraged those in the New Berlin area needing a passport to attend the event. If attendance is not possible, Roesch mentioned that applications could also be submitted in person at the Sangamon County Circuit Clerk’s Office from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

“We are pleased to partner with local government, banks and merchants to provide community outreach events. Through these events, we hope to make the process of applying for a passport more convenient for everyone,” Roesch said.

If you are planning on attending the passport registration event, there are several items you must bring. This includes:
