POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested Wednesday in Mulberry to face charges in a road rage incident that the victims caught on dashcam, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Camden Davis, 22, faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pointing a gun at two men in a work truck on Friday, the sheriff’s office said on social media.
Around 2 p.m. that day, the truck had turned from Dean Street to travel north on State Road 37 when a Mercedes-Benz passed and brake-checked it, according to the post. Davis, who was driving the Mercedes-Benz, then pointed a handgun at the men inside, allegedly yelling “I am going to blow your brains out!” before speeding away, the post states.
The men reported the incident on Monday, according to the sheriff’s office. After a detective determined Davis was driving the Mercedes-Benz, they then went to his home in Mulberry, the post states.
Davis said that he honked his horn at a truck that cut him off, yet when the detective showed him a still from the dashcam video, he allegedly admitted to being the man in the footage, according to the post. A Taurus pistol was recovered from Davis’ residence, the post states.
