In Osceola County, Florida, a troubling incident at the Gaylord Palms resort led to the arrest of a woman on Friday. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has charged 36-year-old Tiffany Griffith with aggravated child abuse after she allegedly submerged a 6-year-old boy underwater in the resort’s pool.
The unsettling event unfolded in the afternoon when deputies responded to reports from the child’s parents. According to the sheriff’s office, their son was swimming with another boy of the same age when a dispute apparently arose. In a disturbing turn, the mother of the other boy, identified as Griffith, allegedly entered the pool and pushed the reporting party’s son under the water for several seconds.
