Authorities responded to an emergency call around 2:45 a.m. concerning a “man down” situation at the intersection of Piedmont Street and Campanella Avenue, just off Ivey Lane near Carver Middle School.

According to News 6 community reporter Mark Lehman, the incident was initially reported as a shooting, with potential involvement of a woman. One individual was transported to the hospital, suffering from serious injuries.

The surrounding streets have been cordoned off, although the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has yet to provide further information about the circumstances.
