EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — Border agents say smugglers abandoned a migrant atop the border wall during the weekend in San Elizario, Texas.
Walter Slosar, who is currently serving as the interim chief patrol agent for the U.S. Border Patrol’s El Paso Sector, reported that agents encountered the individual around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
“Leaving him clinging for his life on top of the border wall,” Slosar mentioned in a social media post that began with, “HANGING ON – BORDER WALL RESCUE!”

Agents called on the San Elizario Fire Department and medics from the nearby Fabens, Texas, to help bring him down.
According to Slosar, the Mexican national was unharmed, but other migrants in his group will face charges for illegal entry into the country and will be processed for removal.
“Smugglers don’t care if you make it. They only care if you pay,” Slosar wrote. “Don’t risk your life. You will be arrested, prosecuted, and deported. THE BORDER IS CLOSED.”
