SPD to participate in community event Tuesday

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The Savannah Police Department (SPD) is joining the Savannah Night Out event on Tuesday to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community.

Modeled after National Night Out, Savannah Night Out aims to enhance police-community collaboration, encouraging neighborhood unity and enhancing safety.

The SPD has participated in the annual event since its inception in 2023.

The SPD will participate in Savannah Night out in four different locations:

  • Fellwood Park, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Tompkins Center, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Atkinson Avenue, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Savannah Elks Lodge, 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The event will include a range of activities open to everyone. Previous events have featured live music, food, games, cook-offs, and more.
