Driver slams into Cincinnati school bus while fleeing police


CINCINNATI, Ohio (WDTN) A driver was seriously injured in Ohio after a police chase ended in a crash with a school bus.

Cincinnati Fire & EMS officials reported a crash involving a school bus occurred in the city’s Madisonville neighborhood around 2:20 p.m. local time.

The 22-year-old driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Cincinnati officials.

Police said the driver was being pursued by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Officers allegedly tried to pull the car over on I-71 when the driver fled, crashing into the school bus just moments later, according to local news outlet WLWT.

The bus belongs to Forest Hills School District. Cincinnati police said at least three people were on the bus, but no one was injured.
