ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is set to thrill attendees with its 35th edition, promising an electrifying showdown—though the outcome remains shrouded in mystery.
The creative minds behind Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) offered an exclusive preview of this year’s event during MEGACON Orlando on Saturday.
The theme for this year, dubbed “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares” or ICON, promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.
“We love to reintroduce a classic icon during our anniversary celebrations,” explained Lora Sauls, the Assistant Director of Entertainment Creative Development and Show Direction.
This year, fans can expect double the terror as two of HHN’s most notorious figures, Jack the Clown and Oddfellow, make their much-anticipated return. The duo will join forces to elevate the fear factor to unprecedented heights.
However, the longevity of their alliance remains uncertain. Given their complicated history, tensions may arise, which will be vividly portrayed in their new haunted house, “Jack and Oddfellow: Control and Chaos,” also revealed during the Saturday event.
And the titular characters came out for a brief cameo.
But again, these guys may be partnering to tell Jack’s story, but they are not friends
“Who would win in a battle?” Asked Charles Gray, Senior Show Director of Entertainment Creative Development. “Jack and Oddfellow are two sides of the same coin… But it lands on an edge.”
The event is set to take place on select nights August 28 through November 1.
